Community Learning - Scything on 20 and 27 July, 3 and 10 Aug

Wednesday 10 August 2016
10:30 to 16:00

Scything: Wed 20th and Wed 27th July, Wed 3rd and Wed 10th Aug.

Come and try your hand at traditional conservation skills and learn from the experts.  Thanks to the importation of more user friendly scythes from Europe and a TV masterclass from Poldark scything is all the rage at the moment! Come along to Crane Park and try it out for yourself... All are welcome and we look forward to seeing you.

Please wear sturdy footwear and clothing for the weather on the day. The event is free but registration is essential so we can know how many folk to expect. We are teaming up with TCV for our community learning activities in Crane Park.

This event is part of a joint project between London Wildlife Trust and the Friends of the River Crane Environment to increase the knowledge and understanding of the River Crane and its wildlife and history. It has been funded by Richmond Civic Pride Awards.
