Coppicing Trees in Crane Park - A Community Learning Day

Thursday 07 November 2019
10:20 to 16:00

EV Pollarded trees

Today we shall be in Crane Park coppicing and pollarding the banks of the River Crane to open up windows of light into the water way.  The photogrpah shows some of the previous work volunteers have done. The material we collect will then be used for hedge laying later in the season.  Also invasive species will be removed from the woodland.  All are wecome and there are many jobs to suit all skill levels.

We shall meet at the Shot Tower in Crane Park at 10.20.  This is only a short walk from Ellerman Avenue or Mill Road in Twickenham.  This community learning event is being run by TCV and details are on their website here. All are welcome to come and join us, for an hour or two, or all day.  Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear for the weather on the day; and bring yourself a packed lunch.

We look forward to seeing you !
