CANCELLED - River Restoration Walk from Shot Tower to Baber Bridge
Monday 01 June 2020
10:30 to 12:00
Unfortunately due to current social distancing measures we are unable to hold this walk. We hope to hold the walk late in the year so please look at the website again.
Join Rob Gray of FORCE for a walk talking about the present and future opportunities for river improvement – organised as part of London River Restoration week. We will visit the existing habitat improvements in Crane Park near the Tower then walk upstream to see where further work is possible along the river through Pevensey Nature Reserve and Brazil Mil Woods to the Upper Duke’s River in Donkey Woods. The walk will end at Baber Bridge on the Staines Road from where you can catch the bus via 490 bus from the junction with Faggs Road and Staines Road A315, or 235, or you can return along the same route walking with Rob too.
Whilst this walk is still scheduled, we shall review nearer the time to align with government guidelines about social distancing. Please book if you would like to join us and you will receive email updates nerarer the time.
As we shall be walking over varied terrain and some of the ground may be muddy, please wear appropriate attire and footwear for the terrain and weather on the day. The event is free but registration is essential so we can know how many folk to expect. Due to safeguarding needs all children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. We are a very sociable group and look forward to meeting you.
